Delete your Parched account
This page explains how to delete your account in Parched, the water tracker on the App Store and Google Play. Parched is published by an individual developer based in the Philippines; the developer's legal name is the Seller shown on Parched's App Store page and the name in the developer contact details on Parched's Google Play page.
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Parched and tap the avatar at the top of the screen to open Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read what gets deleted, then tap Delete account. The sheet says "This permanently deletes your Parched account and what it holds; some records stay, as the Privacy policy says. It can't be undone." Those records are listed below under "What is kept, and for how long".
- Sign in again with Apple or Google to confirm.
Deletion runs straight away while you wait, and you're signed out when it's done. You need an internet connection.
Cancel Premium first. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription. Apple or Google keeps billing until you cancel in the store:
- iPhone: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Parched → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Play Store app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Parched → Cancel subscription.
Ask us to delete it (without the app)
Email support@appsbynikki.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address of the Apple or Google account you sign in to Parched with.
- If you used Sign in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, include the relay address Apple created for Parched. You can find it in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple.
- We reply to that address to confirm it's you, then delete the account within 30 days of your confirmation and email you when it's done.
What is deleted
- Your profile: display name, avatar, daily goal and time zone.
- Every drink you've logged, including deleted ones, and your History, badges and saved articles.
- Your sign-in account, push tokens and Premium status.
- Your group memberships, join requests and nudges. A group you own ends for everyone, and its members are told.
- Your subscription record at RevenueCat, our subscription service, unless Premium is still active.
What is kept, and for how long
- Finished challenge results in groups you played in keep your display name, avatar and the days you met your goal until that group ends. Email us and we'll remove your name and avatar from them.
- A deleted-account marker: your former account ID and the dates of deletion, kept permanently so that a sign-in left on another phone can't bring the account's data back. It holds nothing else.
- Your RevenueCat subscription record, if Premium is still active when you delete your account. Email us after the subscription ends and we'll delete it.
- Backups: copies can remain in Google's backup systems for up to about 180 days.
- Server logs: most server logs up to 30 days; Google's required audit logs up to 400 days. Crash reports: up to 90 days; they never contained your account ID.
- Apple Health or Health Connect: drinks Parched wrote there stay until you delete them in those apps.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
Deleting some information without deleting your account
- Drinks: delete drinks from today or yesterday in History → 7 days → the day → the drink. For older drinks, email us.
- Groups: leave a group with Groups → Leave group. If you own a group, you can't leave it: remove its members in Manage group, or delete your account, to stop sharing with them.
- Saved articles: unsave them in the Hub.
- Anything else: email support@appsbynikki.com.
